| production method | 1. The reaction device is a round-bottom flask with a dropping funnel. Add 115g of freshly sublimed SeO2 into the flask and add 500ml of concentrated hydrochloric acid (36% to 37%) to dissolve it, then add 235g of selenium and drop the concentrated sulfuric acid from the dropping funnel, until no more HCl gas occurs. The red Se2Cl2 formed by the reaction was deposited at the bottom of the reactor, cooled and separated by a separatory funnel. The reaction product was washed several times with concentrated sulfuric acid or dissolved in fuming sulfuric acid and then precipitated by HCl. After the presence of residual sulfuric acid in the product can be treated with anhydrous BaCl2, it is filtered with a glass sand core funnel under the condition of exclusion of external moisture. The yield was about 90%. 2. The reaction device is a distillation flask with a gas introduction tube, the gas introduction tube is inserted into the bottom of the bottle, and a descending condenser tube is connected to the flask and connected with the receiving bottle, A gas outlet tube was drawn from the receiving bottle and passed directly to the exhaust pipe of the fume hood after passing through a washing bottle containing acid. 300g of fuming sulfuric acid (containing 30%SO3) was charged into a distillation flask, and 100g of powdered selenium was added thereto with shaking. Dry HCl gas was passed through the reaction mixture and the distillation flask was carefully heated to allow the selenium to just start volatilizing. Soon after, Se2Cl2 began to drip in the receiving bottle. The rate of distillation was adjusted such that approximately 130g of product were distilled off in 2H. The crude product can be shaken with a small amount of fuming sulfuric acid for several times until it is no longer green. Finally, treatment with anhydrous BaCl2 was performed as in process 1. |
